| It all began back in 1999 before Y2K. A great love of coffee
led
to a discovery of home roasting coffee. With
smoke alarms going off, a little seed was planted.
Fast forward
a bit and that seed grew from a hobby to finally a business! Fog Woman Coffee's humble
beginnings
started at
the Kingston Farmers Market where we sold fresh roasted coffees
direct to customers. Folks loved the
coffee and here we are today! THANK YOU! Fog Woman Coffee
has grown a little since 2005. We
branched into the
wholesale coffee business and after many trials and errors and patience we have
perfected the art and science of roasting great coffee.
How did we come up with the name you ask? In a clam shell, we named the
business after Fog Woman, a mythical heroine known for bringing
salmon to raven's people. Fog Woman is known for her generosity. (And if
I could create salmon than I would not be roasting coffee; or would I?)
Our
company was founded on the belief that we can help
spread generosity with our coffee roasting business. We all know that in giving,
we truly do receive. Since 2005 our mission is simple: Provide
our customers with the best fresh-roasted organic coffees at a fair price
and give back what we can.
Glad you took the time to read
about our company. We hope you enjoy the coffee as much as we enjoy roasting it. We know there are many great coffee roasters out there and we wish to say THANK
YOU for supporting a mom and pop family business.
Keep Fog Woman’s mythical spirit
alive, be generous!
Cheers to great Coffee!
